Westmark School Project (Encino, CA)
"Committed By Discovering Solutions For School To Stay Connected”
Westmark School contacted us about plans to demo an existing single-story classroom building to make room for a new, six classroom, two-story building. After our initial inspection, we discovered that the <existing> campus cabling topology would not accommodate the new state of the art classroom building.
During the pre-construction phase, we implemented a way to keep the school campus computers and video systems up on the network once the ‘old building’ was removed. We established a logical and achievable solution by installing a new fiber optic back-bone and re-routing the video cable paths. This solution maintained the data and video communications integrity over the entire school network from the Administration Building out to all adjacent Buildings and Classrooms. Finally, once the new building was in place, we went back to install additional back-bone fiber optic cable along with new video and telephone cabling.
The remaining classroom work included the installation of data, video and telephone cabling, data cabinet enclosure, patch panels, distribution blocks, building entrance protectors and Telco cross-connects, all resulting in an overall success. We took the necessary time to investigate, recommend and furnish all the equipment that was ultimately selected for the project.
Our final project tasks included equipment installations, cable terminations, preliminary-testing, labeling with network testing, and final acceptance by the Customer. - Ultimately, the Customer was very pleased with the project's completion.
